Green Smoothie Bowl with Apple Crumble
- Prep Time: 10 minutes
- Servings: one bowl
1 handful of spinach
1 handful of kale
(or about three frozen dices of each)
apple crumble topping:
40g rolled oats
1 tbsp coconut oil
½ tsp cinnamon
½ tsp ginger powder
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 pinch of vanilla
- In a pot, roast the oats on medium heat for about 2 minutes.
- Dice the apple halve and add alongside all other crumble ingredients to the oats. Let the apple crumble roast for about 3-4 minutes. Make sure to stir every now and then to avoid any burning. Take the pot from the stove and let it cool off slightly.
- Put all the smoothie ingredients in a blender and mix it well. It’s always good to add at least one frozen ingredient to your smoothie to keep it slightly cool. In this case it could either be the leafy greens, as well as the banana.
- Pour the smoothie in a bowl and top it with the apple crumble. Get creative with additional topping or enjoy it on its own!
