Plum Tart Recipe

  • Prep Time: 50 minutes
  • Servings: one ø18cm cake

Ingredients

For the dough:
150g wholegrain spelt flour
1 tsp baking powder
150ml plant milk
2 tbsp maple syrup
¼ tsp cardamom
½ ginger powder
1 pinch grounded vanilla
1 pinch sea salt
coconut oil (for greasing)

for the topping:
ca. 4 plums
1-2 tbsp maple syrup
1 handful cashews (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 180°C.
In a bowl mix all the dough ingredients and stir well. Use coconut oil to grease a ø 18cm cake-pan and pour in the dough. Use a fork or your fingers to evenly flatten it out.
Wash the plums, halve them and cut them in half-moon shaped pieces. Line the sliced plums in circles, slightly overlapping.
When all plum slices are placed, use a brush to spread the maple syrup.
Let the cake bake in the oven for about 35 minutes.
If you like, add some chopped cashews on top and serve.
